Sixth Challenge Results (CRUNCHING SYLLABLES)

September 22, 2008

Wow, apparently folks were stymied by the lolcat line! Luckily, those of you who rose to the challenge wrote excellent haiku. Let’s review:

Ismoon.Maria bravely started us off:

Millennial valley speak
Kitteh, you has it.

I also couldn’t resist the kittehs:

“OMG! LOLCAT!1!!!”
Kitteh hears squeal and grins wide
“Soon I rulez teh world.”

Michelle impressively worked motion into her haiku:

The kids talk funny these days.
(Shrug) What can I say?

And Jenny T modestly snuck her haiku into the The Chain So Far page:

The stealthy ninja cat strikes.
Not so funny now.

Though it was tough to choose a favorite, in the end I had to go with Jenny T’s other brilliant offering:

So your new first line is CRUNCHING SYLLABLES y’all! Remember, capitalization and punctuation can be changed, but the words can’t. I will be back next Monday with Jenny’s pick.

And remember: every time you write a haiku, an angel gets to live.
